ACIM Self-Study: Time and Eternity

⁴You have elected to be in time rather than eternity, and therefore believe you are in time. ⁵Yet your election is both free and alterable. ⁶You do not belong in time. ⁷Your place is only in eternity, where God Himself placed you forever. (ACIM, T-5.VI.1:4-7)

Tulad ng illusion of separation, yung time ay isa ring illusion, isang “mindmade” concept.

Guilt feelings are the preservers of time. ²They induce fears of retaliation or abandonment, and thus ensure that the future will be like the past. ³This is the ego’s continuity. ⁴It gives the ego a false sense of security by believing that you cannot escape from it. ⁵But you can and must. (ACIM, T-5.VI.2:1-5)

Guilt is preserver of time, lalo na ng past. Ginagawa tayong prisoner of the past ng guilt.

Isang reason ‘to kung bakit hindi tayo maging fully present sa moment na ‘to. Kasi we still live in the past dahil sa guilt.

Eto yung sariling version of forever ng ego.

Gusto ng ego yung ganung predictability kasi parang nagkakaron siya ng sense of control, and therefore sense of security.

⁸My role is only to unchain your will and set it free. ⁹Your ego cannot accept this freedom, and will oppose it at every possible moment and in every possible way. ¹⁰And as its maker, you recognize what it can do because you gave it the power to do it. (ACIM, T-5.VI.2:8-10)

Now na yung time para bawiin natin yung power na pinahiram natin sa ego para magamit natin for the benefit of our soul.

Remember the Kingdom always, and remember that you who are part of the Kingdom cannot be lost. ²The Mind that was in me is in you, for God creates with perfect fairness. (ACIM, T-5.VI.3:1-2)

“Re-member,” from the word itself pinapaalala sa atin na member tayo ng Body of Christ.

Turo nga sa atin ng A Course in Miracles sa last topic, “the Kingdom of Heaven is you.”

If God is everything, edi ibig sabihin part tayo ng everything na yun.

²The ego’s decisions are always wrong, because they are based on the error they were made to uphold. ³Nothing the ego perceives is interpreted correctly. (ACIM, T-5.VI.4:2-3)

⁵The Bible is a fearful thing in the ego’s judgment. ⁶Perceiving it as frightening, it interprets it fearfully. (ACIM, T-5.VI.4:5-6)

Ummm…

May Word of God dun sa Bible, pero be careful lang kasi marami ring word of ego dun. Be very very discerning. Maging mapanuri nang maigi.

Magpatulong tayo sa Holy Spirit to reinterpret correctly.

“As ye sow, so shall ye reap” He interprets to mean what you consider worth cultivating you will cultivate in yourself. ²Your judgment of what is worthy makes it worthy for you. (ACIM, T-5.VI.6:1-2)

Yung mga “fruits of the spirit” like love, peace, joy, kindness… kung gusto natin silang ma-reap sa ating human experience, kailangan i-sow natin sila sa ating sarili.

Worth having ba sila?

“Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord” is easily reinterpreted if you remember that ideas increase only by being shared. ²The statement emphasizes that vengeance cannot be shared. ³Give it therefore to the Holy Spirit, Who will undo it in you because it does not belong in your mind, which is part of God. (ACIM, T-5.VI.7:1-3)

Na-discuss natin ‘to sa last topic, yung anger (or vengeance) ay hindi naiishare.

Yung anger at iba pang emotions base sa fear “does not belong in your mind” kasi hinihiwalay nila tayo from God at sa isa’t-isa.

“I will visit the sins of the fathers unto the third and fourth generation,” as interpreted by the ego, is particularly vicious. ²It becomes merely an attempt to guarantee the ego’s own survival. ³To the Holy Spirit, the statement means that in later generations He can still reinterpret what former generations had misunderstood, and thus release the thoughts from the ability to produce fear. (ACIM, T-5.VI.8:1-3)

Una na dyan yung fear of God, magiging love of God.

You need not fear the Higher Court will condemn you. ²It will merely dismiss the case against you. ³There can be no case against a child of God, and every witness to guilt in God’s creations is bearing false witness to God Himself. (ACIM, T-5.VI.10:1-3)

God will not condemn you, kasi God is not a judging God.

Kaya never tayong magiging guilty kasi wala namang kaso.

⁴Your patience with your brother is your patience with yourself. ⁵Is not a child of God worth patience? (ACIM, T-5.VI.11:4-5)

Ayan, balik tayo dun sa sinabi kanina… we reap what we sow.

Kasi lahat tayo ay worth it.

Now you must learn that only infinite patience produces immediate effects. ²This is the way in which time is exchanged for eternity. ³Infinite patience calls upon infinite love, and by producing results now it renders time unnecessary. (ACIM, T-5.VI.12:1-3)

“Infinite patience produces immediate effects.” Galing no?

Infinite, kasi eternity. Love is eternal, o forever. Yun ang na-re-reap ng infinite patience – love.

Hindi na kailangang hintayin yung “right time” for love kasi laging nandito yung love.
