ACIM Self-Study: Healing and Wholeness

Woooh, Chapter 5 na tayo! Favorite topic ko ‘to: healing.

At tinuturo sa atin ng A Course in Miracles na healing of the mind ang kailangan natin. Kasi connected sa mind ang lahat.

Besides, gaya nga ng natutunan natin: sickness is of the mind, not the body.

Tuloy na natin ang discussion…

To heal is to make happy. ²I have told you to think how many opportunities you have had to gladden yourself, and how many you have refused. ³This is the same as telling you that you have refused to heal yourself. (ACIM, T-5.in.1:1-3)

³There is no difference between love and joy. ⁴Therefore, the only possible whole state is the wholly joyous. ⁵To heal or to make joyous is therefore the same as to integrate and to make one. (ACIM, T-5.in.2:3-5)

Parehas lang yung love and joy. Masasabi nating joy is the experience of love.

Love is a state of wholeness. So to be whole is to be in joy.

Yung ego naman ay state of separation (which is only an illusion). At eto yung sickness of the mind.

So to heal means to integrate, meaning pagsasama-samahin ulit yung mga parts at pag-iisahin ulit sila.

⁶That is why it makes no difference to what part or by what part of the Sonship the healing is offered. ⁷Every part benefits, and benefits equally. (ACIM, T-5.in.2:6-7)

Ibig sabihin ng Christ ay Sonship, yung pagiging Child of God nating lahat.

Kaya when you heal yourself, you heal others too. Connected kasi tayo sa isa’t-isa, in spirit.

You are being blessed by every beneficent thought of any of your brothers anywhere. ²You should want to bless them in return, out of gratitude. ³You need not know them individually, or they you. (ACIM, T-5.in.3:1-3)

“Beneficent thought” meaning mga healing thoughts through shift in perception – yung tinatawag na miracle – yung healing of the mind.

At healing of our own minds lang yung kailangan nating gawin.

⁶It is impossible for a child of God to love his neighbor except as himself. ⁷That is why the healer’s prayer is: ⁸Let me know this brother as I know myself. (ACIM, T-5.in.3:6-8)
