Many stand guard over their ideas because they want to protect their thought systems as they are, and learning means change. (ACIM, T-4.I.2:1)
Sabi nga natin sa last topic, when you know the truth, hindi mo na kailangang i-prove yun.
So kailangan ma-reinforce yung belief system with more ideas, kung hindi ay mag-co-collapse yun.
Makikita natin yan sa mga world religions, which are all belief systems.
Learning means change. Para matututo, kailangan willing tayo i-let go yung mga old beliefs natin at maging open tayo sa mga new ideas.
²Change is always fearful to the separated, because they cannot conceive of it as a move towards healing the separation. ³They always perceive it as a move toward further separation, because the separation was their first experience of change. ⁴You believe that if you allow no change to enter into your ego you will find peace. (ACIM, T-4.I.2:2-4)
Understandable yung human nature tendencies na ayaw natin ng change kasi we fear the unknown.
Pero pinaparealize sa atin ng A Course in Miracles na yung separation from God ay yung first experience natin of change, which, by the way, hindi naman talaga nangyari. Dahil separation from God is an illusion.
Pero as long as naniniwala tayo sa illusion na separate tayo from God, hindi tayo magiging at peace.
⁸The ego is a contradiction. ⁹Your self and God’s Self are in opposition. ¹⁰They are opposed in source, in direction and in outcome. ¹¹They are fundamentally irreconcilable, because spirit cannot perceive and the ego cannot know. (ACIM, T-4.I.2:8-11)
Yung ego is having a “split mind,” kung tawagin sa ACIM – split (separation) between you and God.
Kaya hindi talaga magiging at peace yung ego kasi in conflict siya lagi. Ayaw nga ng ego ang peace. Nabo-bored siya pag walang conflict.
Napag-usapan natin last time yung pinagkaiba ng perception at knowledge. The spirit knows, but the ego doesn’t.
Kaya gumawa yung ego ng sarili niyang version. It perceives base sa sarili niyang interpretation, which is again, in opposition to God.
Spirit need not be taught, but the ego must be. ²Learning is ultimately perceived as frightening because it leads to the relinquishment, not the destruction, of the ego to the light of spirit. (ACIM, T-4.I.3:1-2)
Because the spirit knows, wala nang kailangang matutunan. Ang kailangang matututo ay yung ego.
Kaso takot yung ego matututo, kasi malalaman niya na ego is just an illusion.
Knowledge is death to the ego. Kaya naman nakakatakot yun from the ego’s perspective.
⁴You dream of a separated ego and believe in a world that rests upon it. ⁵This is very real to you. (ACIM, T-4.I.4:4-5)
Life is a dream.
Kaya ang tawag ng A Course in Miracles dito ay “the dream of separation.”
Your worth is not established by teaching or learning. ²Your worth is established by God. (ACIM, T-4.I.7:1-2)
Walang pinagkaiba ang teaching at learning. Pero sa ego, meron. Kung sinong may alam, yun ang “worthy.”
Pero kay God, equal lang. Lahat ay worthy.
⁶Again,—nothing you do or think or wish or make is necessary to establish your worth. (ACIM, T-4.I.7:6)
Yung worthiness ay not something na natututunan. Natural inheritance natin yun as Child of God.
⁵You are part of reality, which stands unchanged beyond the reach of your ego but within easy reach of spirit. ⁶When you are afraid, be still and know that God is real, and you are His beloved Son in whom He is well pleased. (ACIM, T-4.I.8:5-6)
Yung reality na we are always with God remains unchanged.
Yan yung sinasabi ni Jesus na, “The Father and I are one.” Speaking in terms of the spirit yun, which is our true reality.
Pag natatakot tayo, “Be still and know that I Am God.” Alalahanin daw natin yung presence ni God sa ating sarili at yung reality na we are God’s “beloved Son in whom I Am well pleased.”
Lagi nating i-remind yung sarili natin na God and I are one.
God is not the author of fear. ²You are. ³You have chosen to create unlike Him, and have therefore made fear for yourself. (ACIM, T-4.I.9:1-3)
Yung “fear of God”?
The ego is afraid of the spirit’s joy, because once you have experienced it you will withdraw all protection from the ego, and become totally without investment in fear. (ACIM, T-4.I.10:1)
Meron tayong subconscious belief na pag naging happy tayo, sooner or later, yung happiness will be taken from us.
Tapos, etong ego convinces us na it can provide “safety.” Marami siyang illusion to offer protection kuno from fear.
The ego lives in fear. Takot ang ego na maging aware tayo of the reality of our oneness in spirit with God.
²Your investment is great now because fear is a witness to the separation, and your ego rejoices when you witness to it. (ACIM, T-4.I.10:2)
Pabor yun sa ego, so lahat ng ninja technique e gagawin ng ego to preserve that illusion.
Of your ego you can do nothing to save yourself or others, but of your spirit you can do everything for the salvation of both. (ACIM, T-4.I.12:1)
All for nothing.
Nag-su-suffer pa rin sila from unhappiness.
Bakit? Kasi, sabi nga sa kanta, “I can’t get no satisfaction!” (another type of happiness – false type)
Pero of the spirit, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Christ, meaning yung pagiging Child of God natin. Yun lang ang ating source of joy.
²Humility is a lesson for the ego, not for the spirit. ³Spirit is beyond humility, because it recognizes its radiance and gladly sheds its light everywhere. ⁴The meek shall inherit the earth because their egos are humble, and this gives them truer perception. (ACIM, T-4.I.12:2-4)
Dun pala galing yung “the meek shall inherit the earth,” isa sa mga Beatitudes ni Jesus.
Humility of the ego yung nagiging natural result of recognition of the spirit of God.
At yung happiness ay manggaling lang from truer perception, kapag humble enough yung ego to give up its false beliefs.
⁹Remember this:
¹⁰In this world you need not have tribulation because I have overcome the world. ¹¹That is why you should be of good cheer. (ACIM, T-4.I.13:9-11)
Nire-remind tayo ni Jesus na hindi natin kailangang mag-suffer kasi na-overcome niya na yung world of suffering na gawa ng ego.
Gusto niya na maging happy tayo for the fact na yung world of suffering, kapag na-overcome na yung ego, ay nagiging world of happiness and peace.
