ACIM Self-Study: The Illusions of the Ego

Chapter 4 na tayo! At dito, mas pag-uusapan pa natin yung illusions of the ego. Medyo challenging ‘to kasi ma-cha-challenge talaga yung belief systems natin.

Kukuwestyunin natin yung mga natutunan nating fear-based beliefs at i-a-unlearn natin sila.

It will take time.

Pero ang ginagawa natin ay tinatanim natin yung mga “seeds,” yung new thought system to replace fear with love.

Darating yung panahon na ma-eexperience mo for yourself yung presence of love and peace regardless kung anong nangyayari sa mundo.

Mangyayari yun kung sisimulan na natin ngayon.

⁶To be fatigued is to be dis-spirited, but to be inspired is to be in the spirit. ⁷To be egocentric is to be dis-spirited, but to be Self-centered in the right sense is to be inspired or in spirit. (ACIM, T-4.in.1:6-7)

Spiritual fatigue yung tinutukoy dito, hindi physical. Ang totoo nga, kapag nakakaranas tayo ng physical fatigue, malamang ay spiritual in nature ang reason behind it.

Kasi nga ‘di ba, from previous topic, paglilinaw sa atin ng ACIM: sickness is not of the body.

Nakakaranas tayo ng fatigue pag “disconnected” tayo from spirit. Pag ang belief natin ay we are “some-body” separate from God.

Egocentric yung ganung false belief, kapag identified o connected tayo sa ating ego, sa ating self-image.

Self-centered naman yung kabaliktaran. Yung Self na yun ay si God within us. “God-centered”

Feeling inspired tayo pag God-centered, pag we are in the spirit of God. Inspired, meaning “in spirit”.

You can speak from the spirit or from the ego, as you choose. ²If you speak from spirit you have chosen to “Be still and know that I am God.” ³These words are inspired because they reflect knowledge. (ACIM, T-4.in.2:1-3)

May clue para malaman if we are speaking from the spirit or from the ego.

Tatanungin lang natin sarili natin: Am I speaking from love or fear?

Meron kang peace of mind pag speaking from love. You don’t have to prove or defend anything.

Sabi nga ni Jesus parang ganito: You don’t have to know what to say. You just have to know.

Kailangan lang malaman mo yung truth. And the truth will speak for itself. Ikaw lang yung magiging “the voice” of what you know.

The journey to the cross should be the last “useless journey.” ²Do not dwell upon it, but dismiss it as accomplished. ³If you can accept it as your own last useless journey, you are also free to join my resurrection. (ACIM, T-4.in.3:1-3)

⁴Until you do so your life is indeed wasted. ⁵It merely re-enacts the separation, the loss of power, the futile attempts of the ego at reparation, and finally the crucifixion of the body, or death. (ACIM, T-4.in.3:4-5)

Crucifixion is of the body. Resurrection is of the spirit.

At yung lesson ay we are of the spirit. Eto yung tinuturo ni Jesus.

Yung crucifixion ay symbol of suffering.

Only the body dies, but the spirit lives forever.

Sinampolan yun ni Jesus through his resurrection.

Kung gusto mo malaman paano niya nagawa yun, nasa Jesus: My Autobiography yung kwento niya)

⁸The only message of the crucifixion is that you can overcome the cross. (ACIM, T-4.in.3:8)

Hindi siya “to save us from our sins” kasi nga wala naman tayong kasalanan.

Save us from our sin, meaning alisin sa pag-iisip natin yung konsepto ng sin kasi walang ganun.

⁹Until then you are free to crucify yourself as often as you choose. ¹⁰This is not the gospel I intended to offer you. (ACIM, T-4.in.3:9-10)

We crucify ourselves.

Both suffering and salvation are in our hands.
