We have been emphasizing perception, and have said very little about knowledge as yet. ²This is because perception must be straightened out before you can know anything. ³To know is to be certain. ⁴Uncertainty means that you do not know. ⁵Knowledge is power because it is certain, and certainty is strength. (ACIM, T-3.III.1:1-5)
Although ang focus natin sa A Course in Miracles ay about perception, mahalagang malaman natin na perception is not everything.
Knowledge is everything. Perception is just a piece of that everything.
Kumbaga, knowledge yung buong puzzle, perception yung mga puzzle pieces. At bawat isa sa atin ay may hawak na puzzle piece.
Kaya yung perception is relative, depende sa tao at lagi siyang may opposite. Kaya ‘di ba may true at false perception? Opposing views sila. 50-50.
Pero yung knowledge is absolute. Walang opposites. Kaya knowledge is absolute certainty. 100%
⁶Perception is temporary. ⁷As an attribute of the belief in space and time, it is subject to either fear or love. ⁸Misperceptions produce fear and true perceptions foster love, but neither brings certainty because all perception varies. (ACIM, T-3.III.1:6-8)
Hangga’t nabubuhay tayo bilang tao, nasa level tayo ng perception.
At yung perception natin, nagbabago-bago. Pwedeng false, pwedeng true.
Pag false perception, fear ang resulta. Pag true perception, love.
Pero yun ang isang magandang gift ng human experience na dapat ma-appreciate natin. Parang nag-eexperiment tayo, observing the same thing from different point of views.
¹⁰True perception is the basis for knowledge, but knowing is the affirmation of truth and beyond all perceptions. (ACIM, T-3.III.1:10)
Ang basehan ng knowledge ay true perception.
Kung knowledge is everything, true perception is something of everything.
All your difficulties stem from the fact that you do not recognize yourself, your brother or God. ²To recognize means to “know again,” implying that you knew before. (ACIM, T-3.III.2:1-2)
Biruin mo yun, lahat ng difficulties natin ay dahil sa hindi natin ma-recognize ang sarili natin at si God.
Ibig sabihin nung cognize ay know. So, re-cognize means re-know.
Alam mo na. Inaalam mo lang ulit.
⁴The miracle, being a way of perceiving, is not knowledge. ⁵It is the right answer to a question, but you do not question when you know. ⁶Questioning illusions is the first step in undoing them. ⁷The miracle, or the right answer, corrects them. (ACIM, T-3.III.2:4-7)
Miracle is a way of looking, but not knowing. But it’s the correct way of looking.
Sa tanong na ano ba yung truth, miracle is the clue to the correct answer.
Pero imbes na tanungin natin yung truth, ang kwestyunin dapat natin ay yung mga illusions o yung mga beliefs natin.
¹¹You know when you have ceased to ask questions. (ACIM, T-3.III.2:11)
Paano malalaman kung correct answer? Kasi hindi ka na magtatanong. Certain ka na.
The Bible tells you to know yourself, or to be certain. ²Certainty is always of God. (ACIM, T-3.III.5:1-2)
“Know thy self.” Yan yung isang napakahalagang lesson. Kasi to know thy self is to know God.
³When you love someone you have perceived him as he is, and this makes it possible for you to know him. ⁴Until you first perceive him as he is you cannot know him. (ACIM, T-3.III.5:3-4)
“To know someone is to love someone.” Applicable yan sa atin at kay God.
At sabi nga, in order to know, ang kailangan ay true perception – yung perception na base sa truth about the person or God.
Right perception is necessary before God can communicate directly to His altars, which He established in His Sons. ²There He can communicate His certainty, and His knowledge will bring peace without question. (ACIM, T-3.III.6:1-2)
Ayun yung sign of knowing the truth – peace of mind – peace that surpasses all understanding.
Or mas magandang term sa usapan natin: “peace that surpasses all perceptions.”
Ang kailangan lang mula sa ‘tin ay true perception, para ma-set-up tayo for knowing God.
Yun ang purpose ng miracles, set up siya for the atonement.
³God is not a stranger to His Sons, and His Sons are not strangers to each other. ⁴Knowledge preceded both perception and time, and will ultimately replace them. ⁵That is the real meaning of “Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end,” and “Before Abraham was I am.” (ACIM, T-3.III.6:3-5)
Yun ang good news: built-in na sa ‘tin yung knowledge of God. Kaya nga re-cognize, or re-know, kasi knows na natin.
Knows na natin bago pa tayo magkaroon ng perception. “Before Abraham was I am,” meaning, before perception was knowledge.
Yun pala ibig sabihin ng “Alpha and Omega,” or simula at katapusan – ang tinutukoy pala dun ay perception. Perception is limited by time.
Yung knowledge ay timeless. Walang simula at katapusan.
If you attack error in another, you will hurt yourself. ²You cannot know your brother when you attack him. (ACIM, T-3.III.7:1-2)
Yung attack na tinutukoy dito ay psychological, hindi physical ha. Eto yung judgment, pag nanghuhusga tayo base sa false perception.
If you attack another, you are attacking yourself. Bakit? Kasi hindi tayo separate from one another, spiritually.
False perception (misperception) yung separate tayo. At yan ang hadlang para ma-knows natin ang isa’t-isa.
⁴You are making him a stranger by misperceiving him, and so you cannot know him. ⁵It is because you have made him a stranger that you are afraid of him. (ACIM, T-3.III.7:4-5)
Dahil sa misperception, ang tingin natin sa iba ay stranger. “Parang others” sila.
At dahil hindi natin sila kinikilala, natatakot tayo sa kanila.
Bakit tayo natatakot? Kasi we fear what we don’t know.
⁹God knows His children with perfect certainty. ¹⁰He created them by knowing them. ¹¹He recognizes them perfectly. ¹²When they do not recognize each other, they do not recognize Him. (ACIM, T-3.III.7:9-12)
Kaya ganun na lang rin tayo kay God – we fear God.
Kapag natatakot tayo kay God, ibig sabihin hindi pa natin Siya lubusang nakikilala.
Pero si God, kilalang-kilala Niya tayo. Opkors, kasi galing tayo sa Kanya.
At dahil kilala talaga tayo ni God kaya naman love na love Niya rin tayo.
